Key Responsibilities
- Handle process issues and quality issues related to gear manufacturing.
- Strong awareness and working knowledge of the complete gear manufacturing process, modern technologies, cutting tools, and gear micro-geometries.
- Identify defects, conduct root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
- Implement rejection control systems and work towards the zero rejection concept.
- Lead tool cost and FOS cost reduction initiatives with practical improvement ideas.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams for issue resolution and daily operational support.
- Promote and maintain a safe working culture on the shop floor.
- Follow quality systems and ensure adherence through periodic reviews.
- Support TPM implementation in machining lines.
- Good understanding of IMS and DCP.
- Improve productivity through regular monitoring of indicators like OLE and OEE.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on experience in gear manufacturing and production management.
- Ability to use quality tools for analysis and problem solving.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, latest machining trends, and machine tools.
- Expertise in gear inspection and understanding of gear micro geometry.
- Good knowledge of SPC, MSA, PFMEA and other quality engineering tools.
- Experience in TPM, 5S, DWM and related systems.
- Strong people management skills, with ability to handle IR issues and conflict management.
- Working knowledge of major quality systems.
- Practical experience in DOE, QC Story, PDCA and other problem-solving techniques.
